Zermeño in the news
...Planning Commissioner Francisco Zermeño, filed paperwork
last week with the city to set up their campaign committees.
...Zermeño, 50, who vied from the council in 1998, was
appointed to the Planning Commission, considered the most influential
and powerful of the seven boards that advise the council, as well
as a stepping stone to the council.
He's running, he said, simply "to make sure the excitement
in Hayward doesn't die down."
"Hayward is going places. I want to be an integral part part,"
he said.
Zermeño added that he offered a breath of experience, as
the owner of a video store, a longtime Chabot College educator
and a participant in community organizations.
"Protect, improve and preserve our neighborhoods" is
a campaign slogan Zermeño said...
